The bake time for meatloaf depends on the size of your loaf and the temperature of your oven. Our favorite meatloaf recipe uses 2 pounds of meat and bakes for 40 minutes in a 375-degree oven. You can also bake your loaf at 350, but it will take longer, around an hour and 20 minutes. A 3-pound meatloaf at 350 degrees will take up to 2 hours to bake. But if you make a smaller, 1-pound loaf, it will only take around 40 minutes to cook through. If in doubt, poke the center of the loaf with a meat thermometer; the temperature needs to reach 160 degrees.
