The bake time for stuffed peppers depends on a lot of variables, including whether you precook your filling, whether you precook your peppers, and whether you cut the peppers in half or leave them whole. Here are some general guidelines for baking uncooked peppers with stuffing:
- Whole Peppers With Precooked Filling: 45 minutes at 350 degrees
- Whole Peppers With Uncooked Filling: 1 hour at 350 degrees
- Halved Peppers With Precooked Filling: 20 minutes at 350 degrees
- Halved Peppers With Uncooked Filling: 35 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees
Our preferred method for making stuffed peppers actually calls for precooking both the peppers and the filling. You can pop the peppers into the oven while you make the filling, and once you stuff the peppers, you’ll only need to bake them for around 35 minutes at 350 degrees.
